These terms apply to safaris, excursions and travel arrangements booked with Afrika Sights and Adventures. By confirming a booking with us, you accept the terms below on behalf of everyone travelling in your party.
Booking and payment
Enquiries are free and non-binding. Once we agree an itinerary, we issue a written confirmation with the price, inclusions and exclusions. Payment is currently accepted by direct bank transfer to our USD account — the full details are shown on our contact page. If an online payment option such as PayPal is added, it will be offered alongside bank transfer.
A booking is confirmed only once payment is received and matched to your enquiry. Bank transfers may take one to three business days to clear. Please quote your full name and travel date when sending funds, and send the confirmation to us by email or WhatsApp.
Cancellations and refunds

Where a lodge, camp, airline or park authority applies its own cancellation conditions to your booking, those conditions also apply and will be shared with you in writing before you pay.
Traveller responsibilities
- Holding a valid passport with sufficient validity and blank pages for your route.
- Obtaining the correct visa or electronic travel authorisation for every country on your itinerary.
- Confirming health and vaccination requirements with a qualified medical professional — these remain your responsibility, not ours.
- Arranging comprehensive travel insurance. We strongly recommend cover for medical care, evacuation, cancellation and baggage.
- Arriving on time for transfers and following the safety instructions of your guide at all times.
- Providing accurate names, dates and any dietary, mobility or medical needs at the time of booking.
Liability
Safari travel involves inherent risk. Wild animals are unpredictable, roads and airstrips are remote, and conditions can change quickly. We take reasonable care in planning and operating your trip, but we are not liable for loss, injury, delay or damage caused by weather, wildlife behaviour, road or park conditions, illness, or events beyond our reasonable control including strikes, civil unrest, government action and other force majeure.
Where we book third-party services on your behalf — airlines, lodges, camps, ferries or activity providers — we act as an agent, and those suppliers' own terms and liability limits apply to their services.
Itinerary changes
Occasionally an itinerary must change because of weather, road conditions, wildlife movement or supplier availability. Where this happens we will provide an alternative of comparable standard and tell you as early as we can.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Kenyan courts.
