Afrika Sights and Adventures is a Kenyan tour operator. This policy explains, in plain language, what information we collect when you contact us or book a safari, how we use it, and how you can ask us to remove it.
What information we collect
We only collect what we need to answer you and plan your trip. That usually means your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, and the details you send us in an enquiry or booking form — travel dates, number of travellers, the safari or destination you are interested in, and any notes about your preferences or requirements.
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address for that purpose. Our website may also collect basic, non-identifying technical information such as page views to help us improve the site.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and prepare an itinerary or quotation.
- To process and manage a confirmed booking, including arranging lodges, transport and park entry.
- To contact you before and during your trip about arrangements or changes.
- To match a bank transfer or payment reference to your booking.
- To send occasional seasonal offers and departure updates — only if you have opted in.
We do not sell your data
We never sell, rent or trade your personal information to third parties. We share your details only with the suppliers needed to deliver your trip — for example a lodge, camp, domestic airline or park authority — and only the details they need to hold your reservation.
Third-party services we use
We use WhatsApp Business and standard email to communicate with guests, so messages you send us are handled by those providers under their own terms. Payments made by direct bank transfer are handled by our bank. If we add an online payment option such as PayPal in future, that provider will process the payment directly and we will not store your card details.
How long we keep information
We keep enquiry and booking records for as long as needed to serve you and to meet Kenyan tax and business record-keeping obligations, then remove them.
Requesting deletion of your data
You can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. Email info@africasightsadventures.com with your request and we will action it, unless we are required by law to retain a record of a completed booking.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time as our services change. The date at the top of this page always shows when it was last revised.
